Our programs aim to teach, empower and convene people around good journalism. In doing so, Poynter strives to create healthier, sustainable information ecosystems, to build trust in journalism and to strengthen democracy.

We train tens of thousands of journalists each year, work with communities around the world through our innovative digital media literacy program MediaWise and contribute to a free press through our fact-checking initiatives PolitiFact and the International Fact-Checking Network.
